Fractured: Digital Topographies curatorial project was born out of a two semester initiative in the Management Studio I & II courses. These courses are essential to the Arts Administration degree at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC). What was supposed to be a continuing collaboration with an outside organization turned into an independent exhibition project.
As we moved toward an independent exhibition we edited our conceptual ideas and expectations for the project. Working collaboratively, the curatorial team chose four artists to work with to produce the exhibition. You can learn more about these artists and their practices under the Artist tab of this site.
This website serves as a portfolio, documenting the work done by the curatorial team and artists for the Fractured: Digital Topographies exhibition. The exhibition opened Friday February 8, 2019 and closed on Sunday March 3, 2019. Two programs, a workshop and a performance, were included in the exhibition. You can learn more about these programs under the Programming tab.
